look at all that beer back there... (and I’m not sure I could handle hotwings at 11pm..)

I’ve always found wings too fiddly. Too much effect for little reward.
I’m having pork belly with apple sauce, three-cheese croquettes, black pudding croquettes (apple and pear chutney wrapped in pork and blood sausage rolled in breadcrumbs) with cheesey mash.

We have a night out staple here of ‘chips, cheese and gravy’.
Nights out used to be followed with a kebab or pizza.
Then it was pie and pea supper (normally steak pie and mushy peas).
But for the last few years it’s been chips then topped with grated white cheddar and gravy.

Grated cheese has no place on fries w/ gravy. Cheese curds on nothing.

I can’t recall ever seeing cheese curds for sale in the U.K. (not saying they aren’t, just never seen them) that wasn’t already wrapped in breadcrumbs.
I’m having three cheese croquettes now.

where is that? (We are spoiled out here in Washington - but I was really impressed with the beer up in BC when we were up there last year, good and a great value.)
